Hammer
The Hammer is the primary building tool in Valheim. It allows players to place structures, craft stations, furniture, and defensive pieces. The Hammer does not deal meaningful combat damage — its purpose is construction, repair, and dismantling.

🏗 What the Hammer Does
When equipped, the Hammer opens the build menu, allowing placement of:
- Structural pieces (walls, floors, beams, roofing)
- Crafting stations

- Defensive structures

It is also used to:
- Repair structures (no material cost)
- Dismantle pieces (refunds full materials)

Repair

- Returns 100% of materials.
- Useful for redesigning or relocating builds.

Most pieces require:
Without a Workbench in range, most pieces cannot be placed.

- Carry a Hammer while exploring to place temporary Workbenches.
