Sunken Crypt

Sunken Crypts are dungeon structures found in the Swamp biome. They are the primary source of Iron Scrap and mark the beginning of true mid-game metal progression. These crypts are dangerous, confined, and filled with poison-based enemies.

Sunken Crypts cannot be entered without the Swamp Key, dropped by The Elder.

🔐 How to Access

1. Defeat The Elder. 2. Obtain the Swamp Key. 3. Locate a Sunken Crypt in the Swamp. 4. Unlock the iron gate at the entrance.

Crypt entrances are stone structures with green torches.

Iron Scrap is found inside:

Muddy Scrap Piles (block passageways)
Loot chests
Rare floor deposits

Muddy Scrap Piles must be mined using a pickaxe.

🛠 Strategy Tips

Bring **Poison Resistance Mead**.
Use blunt weapons for Swamp enemies.
Mine Muddy Scrap carefully to avoid surprise attacks.
Fight enemies through partially mined openings.
Carry stamina-heavy food.
Place a portal outside the crypt entrance.

Sunken Crypts are significantly more dangerous than early Black Forest dungeons.
