The Mountains biome is the fourth biome in Valheim and introduces freezing temperatures, aerial enemies, and silver-tier progression. Preparation is essential, as the environment itself can quickly kill unprepared players.

The Mountains biome applies the Freezing status effect unless players are protected by Frost Resistance Mead or wearing wolf-tier gear.
