The Black Forest is the second biome in Valheim. It introduces significantly tougher enemies, dangerous dungeons, and valuable metal resources β marking the true beginning of structured progression.

The Black Forest is dense and dark, filled with towering pine and fir trees. Visibility is reduced, and enemy density is much higher than in the Meadows.

- Bring a Shield to handle Greydwarf groups.
- Prioritize collecting Surtling Core early to unlock smelting and charcoal production.
