Plains
The Plains biome is the fifth biome in Valheim and represents a major difficulty spike. It features powerful enemies, deadly mosquito ambushes, and black metal-tier progression. Despite its bright appearance, it is one of the most dangerous biomes in the game.

- Always watch for Deathsquito ambushes β they can kill lightly armored players instantly.
- Clear villages methodically; eliminate Fuling Shaman first.
- Establish a fortified forward base before farming flax and barley.
- Bring fire resistance mead when preparing for Yagluth.
- Use terrain elevation to control Fuling groups.
