π Spawning
Fenrings spawn:
- In the Mountains
- Exclusively at night
- In open snow-covered terrain
They do not spawn during the day.
Starred variants (1β and 2β ) are significantly more lethal.
βοΈ Behaviour
Fenrings are highly aggressive and attack on sight.
They:
- Move quickly across terrain.
- Perform rapid melee swipes.
- Leap toward players to close distance.
- Attack repeatedly with minimal delay.
They can easily overwhelm players who are low on stamina.
π Combat Strategy
- Avoid mountain travel at night if undergeared.
- Use a shield to block initial attacks.
- Maintain stamina for dodge rolls.
- Fight on relatively flat terrain.
- Clear nearby Wolf threats before engaging.
Fenrings are most dangerous when combined with other mountain enemies.
β Environmental Considerations
The Mountains biome applies the Freezing status effect.
Always ensure:
- Frost Resistance Mead is active
- Or full wolf-tier gear is equipped
Being frozen during a Fenring encounter is extremely dangerous.
π Drops
| Item | Use |
|---|---|
| Fenring Trophy | Decoration |
Unlike other Mountain predators, Fenrings do not drop crafting materials.
β Threat Level
Fenrings are among the most dangerous standard enemies in the Mountains due to:
- Night-only spawns.
- High burst melee damage.
- Rapid attack chains.
- Mobility across snow terrain.
Avoiding night travel in the Mountains significantly reduces risk.
