The Galdr Table is the primary magic crafting station in Valheim. Introduced in the Mistlands, it allows players to craft Eitr-based weapons, mage armor sets, and magical equipment. It marks the beginning of full magic-focused progression.

Black Core 5

Refined Eitr 10

Black Cores are found in Infested Mine dungeons.

✨ What the Galdr Table Crafts

The Galdr Table is used to craft:

  • Magic staves (Fire, Frost, and other elemental variants)
  • Mage armor sets (e.g., Eitr-focused gear)
  • Eitr-based support equipment
  • Certain Ashlands-tier magic gear

It works alongside the Black Forge for hybrid builds.

⬆ Galdr Table Upgrades

Upgrades increase the Galdr Table level, allowing higher-quality magic gear.

Upgrade Piece Materials Required Effect
Rune Table Refined Eitr, Black Marble +1 Galdr Level
Arcane Stand Yggdrasil Wood, Eitr materials +1 Galdr Level

Higher levels unlock full upgrades for Mistlands and Ashlands magic items.

🔋 Eitr System

Magic gear relies on **Eitr**, a separate resource pool provided by:

  • Eitr-based food
  • Mage armor sets
  • Late-game crafting items

Without Eitr-generating gear and food, magic weapons cannot be used effectively.

🏗 Placement Tips

  • Place near the Eitr Refinery.
  • Keep near Black Forge for hybrid crafting.
  • Store Refined Eitr nearby.
  • Build inside main base for repairs and upgrades.

Magic-focused bases often dedicate a separate workshop area.

⚠ Common Mistakes

  • Forgetting Eitr food before combat.
  • Not upgrading Galdr Table early.
  • Crafting magic weapons without sufficient Eitr pool.
  • Placing upgrades outside crafting radius.

Magic builds require infrastructure planning.

🛠 Strategy Tips

  • Combine magic damage with physical backup weapon.
  • Upgrade mage armor for higher Eitr regeneration.
  • Use elemental diversity against resistant enemies.
  • Farm Black Cores early in Mistlands progression.

The Galdr Table unlocks an entirely new playstyle in Valheim.
