Material Amount
Black Core 5
Yggdrasil Wood 10
Black Marble 10

Black Cores are found in Infested Mine dungeons.

⚒ What the Black Forge Crafts

The Black Forge is used to craft:

  • Mistlands-tier weapons
  • Carapace armor
  • Carapace shield
  • Arbalest
  • Ashlands-tier Flametal gear
  • Certain advanced upgrade components

Standard Forge cannot craft these items.

⬆ Black Forge Upgrades

Black Forge level increases by placing upgrade structures nearby.

Upgrade Piece Materials Required Effect
Black Forge Cooler Refined Eitr, Copper +1 Forge Level
Black Forge Anvil Black Marble, Iron +1 Forge Level

Higher levels allow full upgrades of Mistlands and Ashlands gear.

🏗 Placement Tips

  • Place near Eitr-related crafting stations.
  • Keep close to storage for Carapace and Refined Eitr.
  • Build inside main base for easy repairs.
  • Combine with Galdr Table if running magic builds.

Late-game bases often dedicate a full workshop to Black Forge crafting.

⚠ Common Mistakes

  • Not gathering enough Black Cores.
  • Underestimating upgrade material costs.
  • Forgetting shelter requirements.
  • Placing upgrades outside radius.

Mistlands gear is expensive — plan material collection accordingly.

🛠 Strategy Tips

  • Clear multiple Infested Mines early.
  • Stockpile Refined Eitr before large crafting sessions.
  • Upgrade weapons before full armor sets.
  • Build redundant processing stations to reduce downtime.

The Black Forge marks true late-game crafting progression.
