Fuling Shaman
The Fuling Shaman is a dangerous support-type enemy found in Plains villages. Unlike other Fulings, Shamans use ranged magic attacks and protective shields, making them a high-priority target in group encounters.
π Overview
| Biome | Plains |
|---|---|
| Type | Caster / Support Enemy |
| Health | Medium |
| Tameable | No |
| Drops | Black Metal Scrap, Shaman Trophy, Coins |
π Spawning
Fuling Shamans spawn primarily:
- Within Fuling Villages
- Near central structures or loot areas
- Alongside Fuling and Fuling Berserker enemies
They are rarely found alone and are typically embedded within village patrol groups.
βοΈ Behaviour
Fuling Shamans differ significantly from other Fulings.
They:
- Cast fireball-like ranged attacks.
- Emit poison clouds that linger on the ground.
- Create magical protective shields around nearby Fulings.
- Stay slightly behind frontline enemies.
The shield ability significantly increases the survivability of nearby Fulings, especially Berserkers.
π Combat Strategy
- Prioritise Shamans first in any village assault.
- Use ranged weapons to eliminate them quickly.
- Avoid standing in poison clouds.
- Spread out in multiplayer to reduce AoE damage overlap.
- Keep fire resistance food or potions in mind if struggling.
Failing to deal with a Shaman early can dramatically increase fight difficulty.
β Weaknesses
Fuling Shamans have no major elemental weakness, but:
- Standard melee and ranged damage are effective.
- They are more fragile than Berserkers.
- Interrupting their casting can prevent shields and poison attacks.
Quick, focused damage is the safest approach.
π Drops
| Item | Use |
|---|---|
| Black Metal Scrap | Smelted into Black Metal weapons |
| Shaman Trophy | Decoration |
| Coins | Trading with Haldor |
Their drops are similar to other Fulings, but their strategic importance makes them especially valuable targets.
β Threat Level
Fuling Shamans significantly increase the danger of Plains villages due to:
- Ranged fire attacks
- Area poison damage
- Protective shielding of allies
Even experienced players can be overwhelmed if a Shaman is left unchecked.
