Lox

The Lox is a large, powerful creature found roaming the Plains. While initially aggressive, it can be tamed and ridden, making it one of the most valuable late-game creatures in Valheim.

📍 Spawning

Lox spawn naturally across the Plains:

Roaming open grasslands
Near rock formations
Sometimes close to Fuling villages

They typically travel alone or in small groups.

⚔️ Behaviour

Wild Lox are territorial and will attack if approached.

They:

Charge at players.
Perform heavy bite and stomp attacks.
Deal massive damage per hit.
Have high health and strong knockback.

Despite their size, they can move surprisingly quickly when provoked.

🛠 Combat Strategy

Avoid fighting multiple Lox at once.
Use ranged weapons to weaken from distance.
Keep stamina high for dodging heavy attacks.
Avoid getting cornered — their knockback can be fatal.
Consider using terrain elevation to your advantage.

They are durable and hit extremely hard, but their attack patterns are predictable.

🐾 Taming

Lox can be tamed using **Cloudberries**.

To tame:

Build a secure enclosure.
Lure or trap the Lox inside.
Feed Cloudberries until taming completes.
Avoid aggro during the taming process.

Once tamed, Lox can be ridden with a Lox Saddle and used for transport or combat support.

⛏ Weaknesses

Lox have no major elemental weaknesses:

Standard melee and ranged damage are effective.
Fire damage works consistently.
Their large size makes them easier to hit with ranged attacks.

Stamina management is key due to their high durability.
